Seasonal Conservation Easement Stewardship Monitor - Boulder County Parks & Open Space

The Conservation Easement Stewardship Monitor seasonal position will focus on stewarding approximately 150 of Boulder County’s conservation easement properties in 6 months. This entails preparing for site visits to assigned properties by reviewing files, downloading data for navigation in the field, contacting landowners to schedule visits, and driving to the properties in a county vehicle. The site visit consists of walking or hiking properties with landowners, identifying issues and opportunities for improving conservation values on the property, connecting the landowner with resources to help manage their land and checking for compliance with the terms of the conservation easement. Subsequent tasks consist of writing monitoring reports that summarize findings, creating maps in ArcGIS Pro, compiling photos, updating the stewardship monitoring files, and following up with landowners as needed.
