Does your program track metrics? How does your program compare to those of peer agencies? Join this facilitated discussion to learn about practices and benchmarks open space agencies use (or could starting using) in their diverse areas of work. Many agencies are asked to keep track of metrics and data related to measure progress toward a variety of program goals. The discussion will look at some approaches and best practices for identifying, tracking and reporting metrics in three key topic areas: 1) Recreation Access + Management, 2) Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion or similar initiatives, and 3) Resilience (such as climate change and social, demographic and economic shifts). By participating in this session, registrants will take advantage of crowd-sourcing and dialogue to explore metrics for three challenging topics open space agencies are currently facing; have a tool and methodology they can take back to their organization for integrating metrics into their areas of practice; and have a starting point for more potential coordinated conversation about standard metrics practices all agencies could access and use.
