Public Agency Roundtable 2024

We hosted our fourth annual roundtable for public agencies on Aug. 20 in Larimer County. About 30 representatives from across the state participated – many of them members of the coalition, and several new faces. We started the day with a tour of the Bellvue-Watson Fish Hatchery near Fort Collins, thanks to Colorado Parks and Wildlife! Then we headed to City of Fort Collins Natural Areas’ offices for the indoor portion of the event, which featured updates from Keep It Colorado; a presentation about partnerships and community needs by Tawnya Ernst and Julia Feder of the City of Fort Collins; a presentation about restoration, river access, and traffic calming by Joey Carpenter of the Town of Crested Butte; discussion; and a networking lunch.

We ended the day with a walking tour along the Cache la Poudre River in Windsor, where Larimer County Natural Resources highlighted its conservation work at River Bluffs Open Space. We even cooled our heels by taking a refreshing dip in the Poudre River to end a very warm day. Thank you to the many partners who made this day a success!
